At 634 m. (2,080 ft) it is the tallest tower in the world, a chance to make the old shitamachi, (i.e. downtown) fashionable again and a hope that Tokyo will obtain a landmark which, notoriously, lacks. Having just opened, for the moment it’s just the Tokyoites’ latest obsession.
