(413) Kyoto 3: Kinkaku-ji


Certainly the most photographed spot in Japan together with Fuji: the “temple of the golden pavilion” Kinkaku-ji (金閣寺) has a six-hundred years history mixing Zen Buddhism and the Asikaga shoguns in an image looking like a postcard –because it was probably built for this reason.
