I have written before about Ryo-san, main character in the manga “Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Koen Mae Hashutsujo” or “Kochikame” but a few days back I was able to go for the first time to Kameari (亀有) in Katshushika Ward (葛飾区), the setting for the manga and birthplace of its creator Osamu Akimoto. That the area is dedicated to the particular manga is obvious before you exit the station…
…and even better when you do.
