(655) What tattoo?


For a country with its own school of tattooing, Japan is particularly strict when it comes to their exposure especially in public baths (or “sento”/銭湯); in most of them there are signs writing (and illustrating to avoid ambiguities) that the use of the bath is restricted to those having tattoos. The reason is widely known although never openly mentioned…
