(796) Omotenashi

Recently, because of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics campaign, the Japanese have been pushing the concept of "omotenashi" (おもてなし) which means "hospitality" but in a way that goes above and beyond the usual: those who provide the service do some things that the customer hasn't asked for but that will make them feel much better. One such thing offered by many opticians in Tokyo is glass "cleaning stations" for passersby; the table is on the street so it isn't just for actual customers.

And because this is Japan, there is also the mandatory mascot: Momotaro (桃太郎), the main character from the most famous Japanese fairytale wearing, of course, glasses.
